Hey there, everyone!  I apologize for being so late in getting around to this, but I've been busy lately with school and work and stuff...  Most of you probably know what that's like.  For those that don't:  It's a real pain in the...  neck.  Yeah, neck!  Ahem, anyway moving along now!

Where to start?  I'll start by giving some basic info about myself:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Name:  Mike Owen

Sex:  You bet!...  Oh, I mean..  male.

Age:  19 (Gonna be 20 fairly soon though!)

Favorite pastime:  Being online, playing guitar, listening to music, writing songs, writing poetry, missing my childhood, talking to friends, bowling, pretending to be a superhero, telling idiotic jokes, ect.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, I know it's short, but I did say that it'd be "basic", right?  Right?  Good!  As many of you already are aware of I'm the guitarist of Less or More, granted I think I kind of suck but I'm working on that...  Well, I mean I'm working on NOT sucking, just to clear up any misunderstandings.  (I've been working on that since I started 3 years ago...  Trust me, folks:  It isn't looking good.)

I tend to be brief and to the point so I'll try and sum up what my experiences with the band have been like.

The band has been rocky over the course of a couple of years; we went from oh-so horrible to slightly inexperienced however our biggest mistake was trying to get things going right from the start.  We didn't take time to improve our sound or anything, so it was slightly humiliating.  But I've learned that, if you are dead serious about writing music and being a performer then fate and mucho help from God will enable you to find a way and you'll work towards creating a uniqueness that suits you.

Enter the scene:  Less or More.  We decided to ditch our silly, non-sense style of writing and rename ourselves Less or More.  I feel we've actually done quite alot by just developing an attitude which will hopefully drive us to start working towards making this a career.  Hey, I don't mind - more money, more money, I always say!

This is the first, and hopefully the only band, that I'll be in.  Bands are alot like girlfriends - while they can't kiss you or go out with you, or physically love you, or lend you a shoulder to cry on,...  or cuddle you in the middle of the night,.........  or laugh at your stupid jokes,.....  or.....

OK, so bands AREN'T anything like girlfriends, but you still get emotionally attached attached to them.  Nonetheless, the band is one of the few things that picks me up and makes me feel good about myself.  Music is awesome!

Speaking of music, I'll go ahead and list SOME of my various guitar influences:

311, Green Day, Rammstein, Metallica (Still working on mastering their styles though.), Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and just about any style of playing I hear will be something I'm willing to incorporate into my playing style.  I still for the life of me believe I'll never master the "classical" method, but here's hoping!  I would list "Stevie Ray Vaughn", but I'm nowhere near his level of talent.  ...Oh wait, I did list him though, didn't I?  Hah!  Just don't start thinking I'm somewhere near his level of skill, and you'll be fine.  ;)

Latest news!

I recently applied for a job at my college and they assured me they had an opening available for the fall!  Which is good because if anything I need to start saving for a mucho amount of stuff - first priority being.. um, a car!  Walking and bumming rides is only fun for so long, then you and the people you bum off of start getting tired.  Also getting psyched for our first major concert, which will feature most of our original material and a few covers.  This should be awesome good times!  If you so happen to be attending the show at the McDonalds Center on June 14th for Matt's graduation party/concert, I hope you're looking forward!  I know I certainly am/would.  -  Mike O.
