It all started when 4 of us guys from Miami decided to come together and form a band. We immediately realized that we had a unique chemistry when jamming together, and this helped to convince us all that this was our calling. Originally it was me (Mike Owen - the guitarist), Matt Owen - the drummer, Sam Mishkin - the bassist, and our original lead vocalist Chris Nunez.
Our various band influences include: 311; KoRn; Fuel; Creed; Red Hot Chili Peppers; Foo Fighters; Blink 182; Faith no More; A Colder Year, and U2.
We are absolutely passionate about our music, and the message that we put into the lyrics of our songs. We write a lot of stuff about having fun, heartache, love and past relationships and true friendship, and we also write the occasional instrumental pieces.
Eventually Chris Nunez dropped out of the band to attend college in California. So that left the three of us, Sam, Matt and myself, to fill in for everything. I moved up to doing both guitars and vocals, and Matt and Sam remained where they were on drums and bass and back up vocals.
In the past we played a couple shows together and we got some good reviews, along with some of the negatives reviews as well. (It happens, ya know?) We played for a talent show, and for my (Mike) graduation in front of our family and many friends. Recently we came back and played in a talent show again, and we scored a major improvement upon our live performances.
Recently we've been writing our own original material and we've been getting some attention as a local band by people all around. Things are looking good for us, and we'll be putting on more and more shows in the near future! Stay tuned!
