Pictures in my head (Tonight, tonight):   This song is about my first girlfriend.  We had a real good relationship together and I thought it was going to last forever.  When she dumped me it was the hardest pain I had to swallow and I'd keep waking up and going for a pen and paper to write down how I was I feeling just to ease my mind off of her...  I'd bury my pictures of her in my notebooks, because I couldn't stand the memories.  This kept up for about a year, and then I finally moved on...  But every now and then I'd still dream about her, and eventually I wrote this song...  So in the end, I lost a real nice girl, but gave me inspiration for what is, in my opinion, a really nice song.  -  Mike O.

Still the same as it ever was:  I wrote this song when I was thinking about romantic relationships - the kind that last a real long time, you know?  You begin to question how a relationship can go on for so long without it failing, but when there's a special connection between two people it's sometimes hard for others to understand.  Sometimes you won't even see why two people love each other, but in my opinion it has a lot to do with how much time is spent together...  You begin to know this person through and through, and vice-versa.  You grow old together, but the memories and everything you used to do together in the past is still very much alive in the present, and will remain for the future.  -  Mike O.

Takin' life Easy - Instrumental:  This is a song my bandmates and I wrote for a local talent show.  Truth be told, it was our last resort.  The policies for auditioning include not having anything that contains vulgar or questionable material, so that basically limited us to what we came up with:  An instrumental.  It's a mellow groove, and it pretty much describes our attitude towards life...  Nice and smooth, funky, and then of course its high points and low points.  -  Mike O.

Freedom (pedal to the floor):  This song is fully dedicated to a few of my buddies, whom I know get repressed by their parents.  This is basically your typical teen anthem where a kid feels he's growing up, but he's still getting treated as a kid.  The kid still loves his parents and all, but it's freedom we're talking about here!  Plus to get treated like you're still 15 when you're in college and everything is not only wrong, it's insulting.  Freedom, rock and roll...  a car...  Really, what else do you need?  (Besides lots of money.) - Mike O.

This music won't die:  Despite what older folks' opinions on today's music is, this is a reminder that music is music, and even though the style and the way it's played has changed it's still more or less the same.  Just because the music is louder and more pumped up than it was back then shouldn't make you look at the song itself and disregard its message.  If you focus on the message of the song, and then compare it to some of the earlier rock songs you might find that it's basically saying the same thing...  Nowadays it might be a little more blatant, but that's about it.  Granted some songs aren't going to have the best messages, but if the music itself can groove you then what's at fault?  Only words can defile music itself. - Mike O.
